The CCT is committed to consultations with stakeholders and other interested and affected parties and the public will be able to interact with the study at various levels. A Key Stakeholder Forum of interested or affected organisations has been set up to represent civil society and offer advice to the CCT, the Study Management Committee, and the Study Team.
Although membership of the Key Stakeholder Forum will not be restricted, membership will be by invitation or nomination. The civil society representatives that serve on the Key Stakeholder Forum will interact relatively closely with the study and report back to their constituencies in terms of their respective mandates. The Key Stakeholder Forum will meet every six months or when required throughout the duration of the project.
The tasks of the Key Stakeholder Forum will be to provide comment on the following:

Information pamphlets and project newsletters will be distributed to inform the broader public of the work being undertaken and to afford them the opportunity to comment. These efforts are likely to be focused on the directly affected areas where borehole sites are likely to be selected. Regional newspaper and radio announcements will also be utilised to provide information to the public.
Members of the public will be able to register on the database to ensure that the project information, newsletters and invitations to meetings will be sent to them directly. Registration can be undertaken by completing the online form or by sending your details by email, fax or post to the address below
